Well we're all set to go to Honduras tomorrow at 2:30 am :(. We worked on packing donations to send down to Tennessee to a guy who would send them to the orphanage and I got packed yesterday. Today we ran errands and such (my mother and me). That was interesting but I got to eat my favorite food for lunch... Tongue Tacos! I also got a liter and a half of Jarrito which is like a mexican soda. Really good. But back to the important stuff.
First we went to NHLC for something, then went to DHL to ship stuff off only to find out that it didn't open until 11 am (it was currently 10am). So then we went to Wally-World (aka Wal-Mart) to get copies of pictures of my family to give to Eduardo and any kids in the orphanage that I came close to. Since we had to wait on the getting of the pictures we went to Kwik-Trip to get gas in the van as we would be taking that to Chicago the following day and then to Fleet Farm to get Insect Repellant with... 100% DEET. T'was actually more like 99.5 but (thanks to Math Mom and Mr. U) we rounded up. Also if you go to Fleet Farm they got a bunch of animal heads that can't all be real.
After our Hunt for Deet we went to go get those tacos mentioned earlier (I won't rehash but it was tasty). Following lunch we went back to go get those pictures. They turned out pretty cool. We got to put words on them and stuff. It was about that time that we noticed DHL would be open. So we went there only to find out that they didn't do domestic shipping anymore. The guy suggested FedEx so we went there. Keep in mind we're only beginning with the errands today and mom is stressed. We went to FedEx and found out that they do domestic shipping and so we were able to unload packages there... Or should I say I was able to unload packages there. You know, the 60lb ones. After much pain and stumbling (all on my part) we were done and we went home after accomplishing our first set of errands.
Our next set involved going to the bank and stuff like that... That was the easier of the two errands. Not much to tell there but... OOOOOH we got suckers... you know, the Dum Dums you get from the bank if you have children in the car? I don't think I qualify as a child anymore because I initially didn't get one. But no one ate them and so I might have them on the way to Chicago tomorrow. What I really need is some Mountain Dew... they sell a six pack regular size at Wal-Mart for $1. They really do have "Unbeatable Prices". But we came back after bank time and waited so mom could do some stuff on the computer before we went to a Town of Menasha cook-out thing. It was alright. I saw some former NHCS students there. Not of my class but of the now sophmore class. Anyways after that we come home, I empty out the van for the morrow, I bring some tires in from the car (did you know what a steel belt is? I found out first hand... literally) and now I type this up... so that about sums up my post for today and now that the trip starts I will post everyday so be on the lookout for them!
